ZERO-DEFECT QUALITY PED 2014/68/EU

ZERO-DEFECT METALLURGY &
QUALITY ASSURANCE

Uncompromised material integrity. We operate a fully equipped, in-house metallurgical testing laboratory and metrology department to verify chemical compositions, mechanical properties, and internal defect-free structures.

In-House Validation

Our Metallurgical Testing Lab

Every furnace heat is chemically and physically audited prior to casting dispatch. We guarantee grade compliance.

Chemical Spectroscopy

Our 26-channel Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) checks element balances (C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Mg) in under 40 seconds before pouring.

OES 26-Channels / Pre-pour Analysis

Microstructure Analyzer

Computerized image analyzer calculates graphite nodule counts, shapes, and percentage nodularity (guaranteed >90% nodularity in SG iron).

Metallurgical Image Analysis

Mechanical Testing

Universal Tensile Testing machine (40 Ton capacity) pulls cast test bars to verify yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation percent.

40T Tensile / Brinell Hardness
Advanced Verification

Non-Destructive Testing
& Dimensional Metrology

For pressure equipment and critical load-bearing automotive casings, we conduct NDT and dimensional audits to verify internal soundness and machining compliance.

UT
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Detecting internal shrinkage cavities, blowholes, or sub-surface micro-cracks in thick-walled valve bodies.

MPI
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)

Detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities on finished machined castings.

HYDRO
Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

Testing valve casings and pump housings up to 100 bar to verify zero leakage across walls.

TRACEABILITY & PROCESS STATUS HEAT-LOG-ACTIVE
01
Ladle Chemical Log

OES analysis recorded against unique heat number cast on the body.

02
Melt Pouring Temperature

Optical pyrometer log records ladle temperature during pouring.

03
Tensile Bar Pull Log

Physical test bars cast with same heat number are pulled and logged.

Quality FAQ

Common Questions About Quality Control

Yes, every single shipment is accompanied by a standard EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate. This document details the exact chemical composition (from our optical emission spectrometer) and mechanical test results (tensile strength, yield point, elongation, and hardness) of the specific heat/batch.

Our quality assurance department includes ASNT Level II certified technicians who perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for internal defect detection, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) for surface crack detection, and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT).

We cast a micro-coupon with every ladle. This coupon is polished and analyzed under a metallurgical microscope using digital image analysis software to verify that the nodularity exceeds 85% and that the nodule count is optimal.

Yes, Asian Technocast LLP is PED 2014/68/EU certified by TUV Nord. This certifies us as an approved material manufacturer for pressure equipment, which is a mandatory requirement for exporting valve and pump castings to the European Union.

We perform 100% visual inspection on all castings. Dimensional layouts are verified using digital height gauges, micro-calipers, customized go/no-go gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure absolute compliance with customer drawings.
